Compatibility: The Smok eMax works great with all eGo and 510 threaded atomizer devices without the need of an adapter, though a beauty ring or sleeve is highly recommended for use with 510 devices to conceal the eGo threading. Assembly & Use: It is recommended that you charge the battery with a 420mAh eGo fast charger, not included, prior to first use. The eMax has a dial located at the base of the battery with five easy to read markers to indicate approximate voltage outputs of 3.2v, 3.6v, 4.0v, 4.4v, and 4.8v or wattage outputs of 4.0w, 6.0w, 8.0w, 10w, and 12w but can be adjusted throughout the entire voltage or wattage scale. Simply click the power button three times within two seconds to select white for voltage or blue for wattage, then turn the dial to your desired output level. The batteries LED can also tell you when you are below 30% power. While in voltage mode the button will flash with white and red lights. When wattage mode the LED will flash blue and red. The eMax can also be turned on or off by pressing the button 5 times quickly. When the power is turned off, the button is disabled and the battery will not supply power to the atomizer device.

Precautions: The eMax like all eGo devices is a battery and therefore it is highly recommended that it not be left out in direct sunlight such as in a car or outside, and should be kept indoors and stored at room temperature. Unlike most eGo batteries however, there is no rubber coating and it can easily be scratched if carried in a pocket or purse with other hard or sharp objects. It is also recommended that you not overtighten any attachments such as clearomizers or tanks as this may cause damage to the battery or the device you are trying to attach. All attachments should be screwed on finger tight.

Benefits: The biggest benefit is the ability to select and adjust the wattage in addition to adjusting voltage as with variable voltage only devices. The eMax also comes with a number of safety features for the protection of the battery and the user. If the button is depressed for more than 10 seconds, the battery will shut off until the button is released. Using higher voltage or wattage levels will deplete the battery faster, so to prevent damage to the battery by over draining, the button will turn red at approximately 30% power remaining to indicate a charge is needed before shutting the battery off.
